On Friday 16 February 2024, more than 200 scientists, healthcare professionals, artists, funders, administrators and policymakers gathered at the theatre in Groningen for the event: Care through Creativity. This was the start of a national effort to build a more cohesive arts and health field in the Netherlands.
The mission is to give art and creativity a permanent place in the Netherlands’ care system. They work with organisations, educators, artists, healthcare providers, scientists and other stakeholders to develop sustainable art in healthcare practice, promote sound training, innovative research and policy recommendations.
